Telex Release & Original Bill of Lading

Telex Release:Telex release is a term used to describe the electronic release of a shipment without the need for a physical, paper-based bill of lading. It is commonly used in international trade to expedite the release of cargo and streamline the documentation process. With a telex release, the shipping line or agent provides instructions to the destination agent or consignee, allowing them to take delivery of the cargo without presenting the original paper bill of lading.Original Bill of Lading: The term "Original Bill of Lading" refers to the primary, physical document that serves as a receipt for the shipped goods and evidence of the contract of carriage. It is typically issued by the carrier and is required for the release of cargo at the destination. Unlike a telex release, the original bill of lading is a tangible document that needs to be presented to take possession of the goods. In cases where the bill of lading is negotiable, it can also serve as a title document, facilitating the transfer of ownership.
